WebThe works consisted of two sheds 250 x 100 feet equipped with a smelting furnace and other machinery. There was a branch railway to the Chalk Wharf. The firm failed in 1908. The site was later utilised as a glass works in 1919 by the British Window Glass Co. The firm erected two blocks of reinforced concrete buildings (built by McAlpines).
